The scenery is beautiful with some remarkable wildlife! Copperhead's par-3 13th is blunt: hit the day's best iron or suffer the consequences. My favorite hole is the par 4 16th. The scenery surrounding the course is pretty amazing as its surprisingly hilly and the elevation changes/tall pines can make it feel like the carolinas which is nice in a very flat area of florida. If you have a bucket list of the top courses to play in Florida then the Copperhead should be on it. Can be a challenge from back tee boxes due to several significant carries, but drop areas are provided (I recommend they be utilized if you don't want high scores). So I booked a 1:18 tee time on that course. The finishing stretch -- the Snakepit -- is certainly memorable and challenging. If you like North Carolina as I do then that's a good thing. It is challanging enough but still very enjoyable. Overall, I really don't feel the course is all that special but it is very nice, and of course you've seen these holes on TV (there are only a couple I remembered from the past - so I don't find it that memorable. The course layout is almost exactly the same but the course is in pristine condition right now. The greens are a bit slow on some holes but thats normal as they are new and its hard to cut down as they come in. Flawless condition. The greens are fairly large so GIR isn't as relative. The rate was discounted to below $100 but the course was nowhere near the condition it should be in. It's a great diagnostic for any golfer's game. And with a a few hills, bends and strategically placed water hazards, it never gets boring.
