It took me almost a month to read Knife of Dreams, The Gathering Storm, and Towers of Midnight. This is almost the perfect time to start reading it because the last book will probably be finished or close to being finished by the time you get to the end of the series. WoT is higher fantasy, there is eventually quite a bit of magic and supernatural elements and creatures and they are more pronounced.
