From the beginning we were told that a few of the wines and, later, that some of the dishes could not be made because they had run out of various ingredients.

Superb French food is at our heart – seasonal, freshly prepared and served with pride by our fabulous restaurant team led by the irrepressible Hatice. Some tables were very noisey and none of the staff seemed to think it might have been worth asking them to be a bit quieter for the benefit of other diners.Disappointed that two favourite things in the menu, cheese soufflé and fish soup were unavailable despite starting at 1230. On weekdays (possibly for lunch) it must be a lot busier.This was our first experience at a Blanc Brasserire and it won't be our last. How is it possible that Open Table allowed the reservation to be made in the first place! The only bit of negative was the price, which was a bit high since it all came to GBP62 with main courses only & a soft drink each. This was a bit disappointing and also odd as there weren't many people there in spite it being a Saturday evening.We had dined in the Southbank branch of Brasserie Blanc before and we liked it so we tried this one in Chancery Lane this time.

Disappointing! Hope this was a one off slip up.Excellent place. My friend was happy with his steak tartar & my sea bass was delicious (crispy & nicely paired up with apple sauce & roast fennel).

Service was good. Extra seating is available in the downstairs dining room, and an elegant private room can be booked for meetings, after work events and dinners. The venue had lovely atmosphere.
