Some really useful hints and tips. I don't know, I'm on the fence, maybe I'm just feeling burned by all the hype surrounding this book. . It was an odd choice to base this novel so closely on the Manson cult and yet at the same time coyly change names and a few insignificant details. She is driven but naive and vulnerable. I get it; it put me off a bit in the beginning as well, but I’m glad I stuck with it as that tapered off mostly once I got about 15-20% into the book.Two stars might be a little harsh? The particular vulnerability of young teenage girls to the attentions of older, manipulative men is captured beautifully.
